Lost.

by Because I wanted to...

Published January 26, 2011

I wish I could find it.
Then maybe I'd be free.

I wish I could find it.
Just one single lead.

I wish I could find it.
What I want to be.

I wish I could find it.
A day filled with peace.

I wish I knew
Instead of felt.

I wish I had any reason to believe in the hand I was dealt.

To walk on bind faith is no easy feat,
And I grow weary even as we speak.

Tomorrow holds no light,

No hope.

Gets me thinking this is all a cruel joke,
A hapless existence,
A masterful lie.

What I want is the truth...
What I want I can't find.

I really like this, the emotion was easy to read, and I felt despair, as if I were you.

I adored this. The emotion is conveyed in a concise manner. It's very applicable to people. Everyone has felt "lost" at some point in their life so everyone can relate to a time that this poem would have completely described them. Very well done.

are we even writers if we never did huge research and used none of it?
